Interesting how AHRC studentships now marketed as "job posts". Aside from the vocab of capital, doesn't that have tax implications?

That Ubuntu Natty test plan didn't go so well. Just spent a long time at grub rescue prompt.

Had a lovely day away. Then 3 horrid days of sickness and dizziness. Holidays are overrated.

Going dark on emails, social networks and so forth until Friday. This is called a "holiday". Almost shaking from withdrawal before I start.

Now reading @nicholasroyle's first novel, Quilt.

To clarify: does kindle support pdf natively or do I have to use some conversion app? (Or use the stupid email thing - hello privacy?)

Also debating a Kindle now, having resisted for ages.

Spent the morning doing workshop plans and setting up my new open source router. The latter was good, the former not so.

My hatred of writing workshop plans has resulted in multiple cups of tea before 9am.

Dear Tweetdeck, I love deck.ly, but you've got to open up an API. Not doing so fragments Twitter, makes it client-specific and is EVIL.

Our lecturer training programme has a marking exercise this week. They decided there was no way to do this other than a 45mb PDF. #fail
