Another tedious afternoon in hospital clinics but I did finish reading David Letzler's The Cruft of Fiction... Review forthcoming!

Best thing last week: friends' young children asking whether any of my academic monographs will be made into movies.

In better news, I am delighted to announce that I am now an Executive Board Officer of @punctum_books -- a great, radical open access press.

Just emailed a journal to whom I submitted a book review... 3 years ago. And it has not yet been scheduled for publication.

Amazing eclipse so far. Total black out of the burning orb. Remember, when it's over, never look directly at the light source.

The next 6 hours on my Twitter feed is just going to be non-stop jokes about how it was "nice to see him, to see him, nice"

I'm taking an online neural network course since, although I've played with them, I want a better understanding of the maths.

Seems that guy who wrote the manifesto arguing that Google should be more discriminatory is now threatening to sue Google for discrimination

Thanks, for suggestions, all! I guess I should have been clearer: looking for multi-genre juxtapositions in single works!

I have a list already, but can you recommend texts with multiple generic perspectives (genre-shifting)? Please RT and share suggestions!

Interesting (and frustrating): new Zotero doesn't seem to work without an internet connection. (At least on Linux) Is this a recognised bug?

En route to Pittsburgh and mid-Atlantic. (Still can't get over plane wifi.) My air sickness is SO bad these days though; horrible.
